AHN Colloides Chemical Pvt. Ltd.

AHN Colloides Chemical Pvt Ltd is a manufacturing company established in 1992 and located at 10-km, Sheikhupura-Faisalabad Road, near Kharian Wala, Pakistan. The company’s manufacturing facility comprises two sectors: one for the production of Formaldehyde and Urea Formaldehyde Moulding Compound and the other for the production of various plasticizers, including D.O.P (Dioctyl Phthalate), DOTP (2-Ethylhexyl Terephthalate), and TXIB (Trimethyl-1,3-Pentanediol Diisobutyrate). In 1996, the company added a D.O.P (Di-Octyl Phthalate) and D.O.T.P plastizer plant, which serves as a raw material for the plastic industry. Later, TXIB plastisizer was also added to the production.

Di-Octyl Phthalate (DOP)

Di-Octyl Phthalate (DOP) is known for its ability to increase the flexibility, durability, and workability of various materials. It is widely used as a plasticizer in the production of flexible plastics and rubber products. DOP helps improve the flexibility and softness of materials, making them more suitable for applications such as PVC pipes, cables, hoses, automotive parts, and more. Additionally, DOP can be incorporated into coatings and paints to enhance their workability, adhesion, and flexibility.

History of AHN Colloides Chemical

The chairman of the company, (Late) Mian Anwar Elahi, established an industrial unit in 1992 for the manufacturing of Urea Formaldehyde Moulding Compound in collaboration with the UK-based company ABBEY Thermoset. Urea Formaldehyde Moulding Compound is used in tableware and electrical accessories. Through hard work and 55 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, the AHN group of companies has established a strong presence in both the local and export-oriented markets.

Formalin (Formaldehyde)

Formalin, also known as formaldehyde, is a chemical solution containing formaldehyde gas dissolved in water. It has various uses in different industries and applications due to its preservative, disinfectant, and fixation properties. However, formalin is a strong and potentially hazardous chemical, so its use should be handled with proper care, safety measures, and in accordance with relevant regulations. Some common uses of formalin include.

Formaldehyde is used to make adhesives for pressed wood products such as particleboard, plywood, fiberboard, furniture, and cabinets. Formaldehyde-based resins are economical and effective bonding agents. Formaldehyde can also be emitted from wood that does not contain adhesive resin, due to thermal degradation of polysaccharides in the wood.

Formalin is used in textile production processes to prevent the growth of molds and mildews during storage and transportation of fabrics and garments.

Formalin is utilized in various manufacturing processes, such as the production of resins, plastics, and textiles. It can be a component in the synthesis of other chemicals.

Processing Method

Urea Formaldehyde Molding Compound is processed using compression molding techniques under controlled heat and pressure to produce high-quality finished products.
